MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM OF SUPPORTS For Students
Educators and school staff play a vital role in promoting the mental health and well-being of students. This school-based plan will help school staff address the mental health needs of all students upon their return to school in a full-entry, hybrid, or remote learning environment.
The SST will work to enhance the capacity to recognize and identify mental health concerns in students through the utilization of a tiered system of supports.

Students receiving this level of support do not present with risk factors or significant problems/ concerns and are functioning in a healthy manner. These students will benefit from Tier I Universal supports that promote positive social, emotional, and character development. |
Students receiving this level of support have been identified as being at risk for a given concern or problem. Students in the Tier II level will benefit from Targeted supports in addition to universal supports. |
Students receiving this level of support are presently facing a particular concern or problem and will benefit from Intensive, individualized support, in addition to universal supports, to meet their unique needs |
